Split was founded as Aspálathos in the 3rd or 2nd century BC. We recommend you arrive a day or two before you join the yacht on Saturday afternoon to fully appreciate what Split has to offer.

Mljet is the southernmost and easternmost of the larger Adriatic islands of the Dalmatia region of Croatia. The National Park includes the western part of the island, Veliko jezero, Malo jezero, Soline Bay and a sea belt 500 meters wide from the most prominent cape of Mljet covering an area of 54 km². It is the most southerly and easterly of Croatia's large islands. The surface of the island is thick with forests and Mediterranean vegetation and the island is famous for its white and red wines, as well as olives and goat's cheese.

68 years ago, Lt/Col and Mrs. Stoddard, along with Eric and his siblings, moved from Randolph AFB in Texas to Landsberg and Frankfurt, Germany, then to the UK in the 60’s, and Taiwan in the 70’s. Lt/Col Stoddard was a POW at Ofuna, Japan, for 15 months in World War II.
