Dubrovnik is a most unique city in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea. It’s perfect for wandering and getting lost. It's known as the Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. Its well-preserved buildings range from baroque St. Blaise Church to Renaissance Sponza Palace and Gothic Rector’s Palace, now a history museum. The history of the city probably dates back to the 7th century. Feature in the popular TV series Game of Thrones.

68 years ago, Lt/Col and Mrs. Stoddard, along with Eric and his siblings, moved from Randolph AFB in Texas to Landsberg and Frankfurt, Germany, then to the UK in the 60’s, and Taiwan in the 70’s. Lt/Col Stoddard was a POW at Ofuna, Japan, for 15 months in World War II.
